Hi-Pointe Drive-In stands out as a gem among burger joints, offering unique culinary creations that elevate the classic burger experience. Each burger is crafted with creativity, featuring inventive toppings and flavor combinations that delight the taste buds. The fry sauce here is a must-try, perfectly complementing their crispy, golden fries with a blend of tanginess and savory goodness. You order at counter and they bring your food out to you- great service. The decor at Hi-Pointe Drive-In adds another layer of charm. The restaurant is adorned with an eclectic mix of movie memorabilia, creating a fun and nostalgic atmosphere making the dining experience both enjoyable. Overall, Hi-Pointe Drive-In is a fantastic spot for anyone looking to enjoy a unique burger, excellent fry sauce.
What a great experience! Burgers were top notch-- every topping was fantastic... quality cuts of beef! Fries are thick cut with the perfect seasoning. My son had the Oreo shake--it was perfection! The employees really made this experience fantastic. They were energetic and so happy to serve. Each person was smiling and ready to help. We visited the main location which had plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoors they had patio and bar services. It was a beautiful day to be outside too.
As a vegetarian, it's rare for me to frequent a burger joint but Hi-Pointe Drive-In is one place I love to frequent. I keep it simple with their impossible burger, often adding avocado and a side of sweet potato tots (which are to die for!) but not much else. There's the thing, at Hi-Pointe, you don't need to. The food is just that good.
Our favorite burger place in STL. Burgers are big and flavorful, albeit greasy (but hey, its a burger). The soda they have is not it, but we usually get a drink elsewhere. They are usually incredibly busy, so order ahead rather than in person if you can. Has an eclectic vintage vibe to it, with outdoor seating
Can I just start out by saying, home of the goodburger care, oh my yes!!!! That was a huge highlight for me. The service here was better than service I have had at restaurants. We ate outside and multiple times workers came to check on us, it was amazing. The kind attention from the staff made our meal incredibly enjoyable. As for the food, it was good. The burgers were juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. They have some fun drinks, too. Ambience was upbeat and welcoming. Overall, dining here was a delightful experience that I would highly recommend to anyone.
great food fast grind friendly service relaxing atmosphere Looking forward to returning very soon
Tried Hi-pointe for the first time with a coworker. I always eyed this place as their food looks delicious. The menu is A La Carte, so everything you buy is separate. I had a double cheeseburger with lettuce, pickle, mayo and mustard and added some of their signature sauce with a side of fries. The burger was good, it needs a little bit more seasoning. The fries were good and hot. I got a side of Delux sauce and avocado ranch. The sauces were really good. I love the decor. It gives you retro and eclectic energy. They have the good burger car where you can take pictures in front of. The staff was friendly and greeted you when you ordered or picked up your food. I would definitely try this place again.
I just can't get enough of this place. Love the vibe. Love the creativity. Love the menu options. Love the kitschy stuff everywhere. Feels like a St. Louis staple! Counter service was decent. New employee was being trained and we felt like we were in good hands. Food delivered to the table by a friendly food runner. Someone came by a couple times, which was appreciated. What we ordered: - Special burger of the day (4.5/5): Single patty topped with a waffle fry, nacho cheese, avocado, yum! - Jalapeño hush puppies (3.75/5: Decent. Oh yeah, I will be back.
I Don't think I have had a bad moment here. Took a visiting friend here to try it out. I got a Cowboy burger (added jalapeños) with fries. My friend had a list of food allergies, however they were very accommodating to find the right burg for her. It was a bit busy but we were able to find a booth. An employee came by a couple times to check on us so that was awesome. Good way to eat on a rainy day.
The double burger was great! Juicy and tasty. The surfing was the side of green beans. Truly enjoyed the onions and garlic that the green beans were prepared with. The vibe is casual that suits it well. The entry and exit door is situated in an odd location that took a minute to locate. The staff were helpful and informative. I am puzzled about something in general: why do they ask for a tip upon ordering? I realize this is systemic, but I really don't know what I am being asked as a tip to me is something that is given for good service. It doesn't make sense to ask for it before you get the food. Imagine McDonald's having computer registers that ask for a tip and I have the same feeling about it in a place such as this. Raise the prices and pay staff higher wages, please don't ask for a tip when service and food have yet to be provided.
